will develop an attractive, savoury complexity.

Vineyard Notes
McLaren Vale had good winter, and early spring rains were followed by a generally dry and temperate
growing season. Good flowering conditions, particularly for the later ripening varieties, resulted in
higher berry numbers per bunch. Canopies developed well and were balanced to slightly above-average
yields. Slow and steady ripening, without excessive heat events resulted in superb varietal fruit
intensity with balanced natural acidity and fine tannin structures.
Production Notes
*No animal products were used in the crafting of this wine.
Winemaker Notes
Overall, 2022 was one of the coolest ripening period for many of years, with very good spring rains and a
cooler summer allowing for slow flavour enhancement. With good subsoil moisture the fruit was in
perfect condition. Vintage harvest dates were 2 weeks behind average.
Food Pairing Notes
Lasagna, pizza and dishes with tomato-based sauces.

The proximity to St Vincent Gulf, coincidentally named after the patron saint of winemakers,
benefits fruit quality with warmer spring and autumn conditions and cooler summers.

high quality, richly flavoured wines.
